Camp Gordon Johnston Museum mission is to collect, preserve, exhibit and interpret historically significant artifacts and history related to the Amphibious Soldiers that trained at this WWII training center from 1942-1946. Most item are donated by soldiers or their family. The museum is responsible for exhibiting and interpreting the history of the units that were trainers and being trained with the goal to support post education, training, research, and historical exhibits and programs.
