Our Heritage Festival is a celebration of Lake Alfred's history, dating back to the Second Seminole War and the establishment of Fort Cummings. Joining us this year are living history demonstrators including Native American Jim Sawgrass, magician and snake-oil salesman P. T. Mortimer, and Seminole War portrayers. Historic bus tours will showcase some of Lake Alfred's historic sites, with stops at two historic homes. We also have the Lily Jane Band, playing old-time traditional tunes, original songs, and unique arrangements of Americana music. Kids activities include a petting zoo and pony rides. Craft and food vendors will also be here.
